Can I use any light plate for transmission measurements?
Basically yes, as long as the intensity is sufficient and constant over time. Take care to calibrate and measure always on the same spot.

What is the difference between Light Plate LP 20 and LP 40?
LP 20 is very compact and battery powered. LP 40 is the larger version powered by an AC-adapter. On LP 40 film of any size can be measured.

Can I transfer measurement data to the PC?
Yes, the special version RT 120 PC has a serial port. Data can be transferred into applications such as Microsoft Excel by using the module TECHKON EXChange. Direct transfer to RIP calibration software is possible as well.

Can printing plates be analyzed?
Yes. For measuring on Polyester Plates we recommend the version RT 120 Pol with polarizing filter. The Yule-Nielsen mode should be activated. Please note that for convenient and precise measurements on printing plates we recommend the use of our special plate reader, the Digital MicroScope DMS 910.
