Techkon, USA is offering an optional 12 month extended maintenance agreement on all products providing customers an additional year of warranty repair coverage. The extended maintenance agreement is only available for those customers located in the North American continent.

Current Techkon customers interested in purchasing an extended maintenance agreement must return the instrument to Techkon USA for a device inspection to verify that it is in good working condition at an additional cost as defined in the extended maintenance agreement pricing table.

The extended maintenance agreement includes:

• Repair of units that are not functioning to factory specification. This includes all parts and labor necessary to repair the instrument.
•  One device check/recertification per contract period. Instruments must be returned within the agreement period to qualify under this program.

Device check/recertification service includes:

• Cleaning of the instrument.
• Checking of charging capability. Exchange of battery if necessary and disposal of old battery.
• Checking the measurement lamp and exchange if necessary.
• Device calibration.
• Update of instrument firmware.
• Complete functionality test.
• Issuance of a certificate that states the instrument is functioning to factory specifications.
• Units that are structurally damaged and demonstrate non-standard usage are not covered under this program.

Process to Return Instrument for Repair:

To qualify for extended product warranty repair customers must:

• Contact Techkon USA Technical Support at 978-777-1854. The Technical Support Specialist will determine that the unit is in need of repair and will authorize the return of the unit for warranty repair.
• The Techkon Technical Support Specialist after determining the need for repair will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number to the customer for the return of the unit. The RMA number must be prominently displayed on the outside packaging used for shipment of the instrument to Techkon USA.

Product Loaner units:

Product Loaner units will be provided on a first come first serve basis during the term of the agreement at a set cost.
